Emergency Food Bags

Many people we serve do not have access to a kitchen, so it’s best if donated food items are microwavable, or can be made by simply adding hot water. We will use ANY non-perishable food donations, but for safety reasons we will only accept new and unopened items (all opened or used items will be thrown away).

We need at least 12 bags per week, or 50 bags every monthWe would appreciate it if you include some vegetarian soups and cup of noodles, as many of our asylum clients don’t eat any meat (though tuna is still okay). Please mark any vegetarian bags with a big “V.” Here is a sample list:

  • 1 box of granola or other nutritional bars
  • 1 box of instant milk packets
  • 1 small box of tea bags
  • 1 box of instant plain oatmeal
  • Dried fruit
  • 2 cans of soup with pop-top lids
  • 3 cup-o-noodles
  • 2 cans of tuna with pop-tops
  • 5 individual bags of nuts
  • 3 plastic spoons, 3 plastic bowls, 7 napkins
