Many people we serve struggle with housing and food needs, and often do not have access to a kitchen, so it’s best if donated food items do not require heating. We will use ANY non-perishable food donations, but for safety reasons we will only accept new and unopened items (all opened or used items will be thrown away).
We appreciate all such donations, especially those that include vegetarian servings and cans with pop-tops for people who do not have a can opener. Here are some ideas of items that are in high demand:
- granola or other nutritional bars
- instant milk packets
- instant plain oatmeal
- pop-top tuna in can or tuna/fish in packets
- dried fruit
- soups and stews
- instant cup of noodles
- individual packets of nuts
- canned vegetables
- Vienna sausages in can
- precooked packets of rice
- jerky
- canned beans
- napkins, plastic or compostable bowls, inexpensive manual can openers, plastic or compostable utensils
