The powerful, adorable, laid-back Chloe Kim is a huge star for the USA, the youngest woman ever to win an Olympic snowboarding medal—a gold medal—winning the women’s halfpipe event at the age of 17.  Her story is not only one of Olympic success, but the American dream.

Her father, Jong Jin Kim, arrived in the US as a Korean immigrant with $800 to his name.  But he built a business, a family, and a life that included supporting the talent and aspirations of his daughter Chloe, who is already an Olympic legend before her 18th birthday.

We hope you enjoy this story of hard work, dedication, love and family.  The American dream is one of opportunity and we at Refugees Northwest support it in every way! Go, Team USA!!!
