Watch Refugees Northwest Director Beth Farmer Hit the ‘Cash Cube’ for a Great Cause!

Wow! The first ever KING 5 Konnected event, featuring more than twenty hardworking nonprofits, was a huge success last night for Refugees Northwest! Thank you to the hundreds of people who stopped by our booth to find out more about our work and the neighbors we serve.

With a capacity crowd at Block 41 in Belltown, guests enjoyed chef ‘bites,’ DJ’s, cash cube, carpool karaoke, photo booths, interactive art installations, and desserts while learning more about the important nonprofit work in our area and choosing ways to get involved!

Refugees Northwest staff members Katie Pickard, Faten Rashid, and Tigest Coleman, along with our Director Beth Farmer, spent the evening engaging new supporters.  And as it turned out, Tigest earned a new nickname: “The Closer!”

She was incredibly successful in persuading patrons of the cash cube (picture a big phone booth with money blowing all around you) to donate the cash they could grab to us! Katie was successful in nabbing cash, and Beth was more than up for the challenge as well:

Thanks to KING 5 TV for organizing this first ever ‘Konnected’ get-together and Refugees Northwest looks forward to an expanded event next year!

Next up for us: Taste of the World 2018, so please join us to celebrate:
